Right Size Smoothies…hmmm, we shall see. Also, I have a new love…and it’s name is Spotify, an app I will actually pay for, astonishing because I am cheap and love “free” almost as much as I love “convenient”
So it’s been about 9 months since I’ve finished a post. I just looked at my files and realize I’ve started a post about 9 times and in the past year the luxury of having a complete thought has eluded me. Or maybe it was all the sugar and crap food we’ve been eating.
Sooooo, there’s a wedding looming…and a bridesmaids dress, that required measurements, of my apparently massive body. And, while you may kindly lie “Oh, you’re not that big” the measurements are repulsive. Now, as many a woman knows, bridesmaids dresses run, “a couple sizes small”…small enough that if you were a size 2, you would run screaming to the toilet and vomit up your last weeks food so that you could fit into the preteen size 12 dress that passes for a 2. Then, you may be insensitive to the bride and create her bridezilla tendencies for her because you’re hungry and she’s asking you to wear a color that may or may not appear in nature.
That said, the dress is lovely. But huuuge…and I had to actually tell someone those numbers…and then I thought I was buying one size dress, but no, it’s even bigger than I was told….AND…it costs $40 more than the other sized dresses. My mind is in pure hell. So I have now 3, maybe 6 months to be smaller than I am right now. We, as a couple, are now counting calories. We are ending week 1.
Upside…Actually drinking a shake for breakfast and a shake for lunch, not such a bad deal. Considering for the past year that I pretty much took 4 hours to drink one cup of coffee for breakfast and then had to wrack my brain to remember if I’d actually eaten breakfast 5 out of 7 days. At least there’s more nourishment in my body than coffee creamer supplies on a regular basis. My coffee maker has been broken for about a month. It took me 3 weeks to give up on it, but I’ve still not had the heart to toss it in the trash, I love it so. Perhaps today’s the day.
Court’s on board too. He also must wear fancy clothes and shoes and have his picture taken, so I guess we’ve finally found our motivation to stop taking midnight runs to Sonic for 1200+ calories of “a little somethin'” Difference between him and me…he’s never dieted before. Never counted a calorie, never found out what he ate just blew his whole plan for the day, never lamented the slow torturing speed at which your body burns fat. Again, this is just week one, we shall soon see how this journey pans out.
