Renewing Mercies…A Little Each Day

Starting over from scratch…sorta

What Are You Doing New Years Eve?

Once upon a time I spent New Years Eve in New York City.  I mean I had fun with Kim looking for everyone we were supposed to have met up with, but overall in terms of how the movies present it, it wasn’t like the movies.  Last year (2011) was kind of a big let down for me in terms of New Year’s Eve.  This time around, I had no big expectations of popping the bubbly at midnight and kissing my husband.  I opened a bottle of champagne when my kids went down for the night at 7:00ish pm, stuffed myself with less than spectacular pastries while watching the movie New Year’s Eve…and was in bed by 10:30.

Another Hallelujah

I know that You’re the God above
You’re filling me with grace and love
And I just want to say thank You to You
You pulled me from the miry clay
You’ve given me a brand new day
Now all that I can say is

Another Hallelujah – Lincoln Brewster

Wow, so long since the last post…so much in my head.  First, to give props to the funniest blog that I’ve read (that wasn’t my own)….this is hysterical, if you don’t mind the swearing  (babysideburns).  OMG, I’m crying laughing at pretty much every entry. Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Holidays Tooooo Yooouuuuuu

I’ve succumbed to the call of the Christmas music.  I’m officially opposed to Christmas music before Thanksgiving dinner has been in the fridge for the night, but this year I’m letting it slide, it’s only 2 days before Thanksgiving afterall.  Read the rest of this entry »

The Measure of A Man, The Messy of A Girl

You’re So Vain

I was chatting with a friend tonight and amongst the spiderweb of conversation, there was something that struck me (of course, something that I said, not that I heard) “If I could go back 10 years, I would tell my 28 year old self to throw out the brownies instead of eating the whole pan.” Read the rest of this entry »

So I Married A Grown Up

It’s a bit late, but it’s been brewing around in my brain for a bit, I suppose we could call it a french press and pay homage to the Rondeaus and Brunettes in my lineage…or we could just call a spade a spade and I could own up to procrastination. Read the rest of this entry »

You’re Only Still Alive Because You’re So Effin Cute

I thought of saying you’re so “darned” cute, but I think everyone on the planet (especially in my neighborhood) knows I swear like a sailor…so…I mean, really who am I kidding? Read the rest of this entry »
